Entering 2020, marketers will discover a changing digital world governed by a new set of laws — most notably from the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), which went into effect on January 1 and is the first large-scale U.S. law protecting consumers’ digital data. Known to some as “GDPR Light,” CCPA poses new challenges to for-profit businesses working in California.

SARASOTA, FL — Miles Partnership announced the application period for its scholarship program to the Southeast Tourism Society Marketing College®. The scholarship program is available to tourism industry professionals working in one of the 12 STS member states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia) and as in years past, Miles will award one scholarship in each of those states. Miles recently held its annual scholarship program to award one industry professional in each of the STS member states with a scholarship to Marketing College. Recipients receive a scholarship covering tuition, dorm room accommodations and most meals for the upcoming session taking place at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, GA from May 12-17.
