If you're attending this year's DMAI conference in Seattle, you'll have a chance to experience the Global All-Stars Marketing Institute, produced in partnership between Miles and DMAI. The event features trends marketing expert Daniel Levine, new research from Destination Analysts and actionable examples from destinations utilizing technology, social media and unique marketing techniques.

The session will start today at 1 p.m. (PDT), the WSCC Room 611-614. If you're #notatDMAI, we'll be sharing highlights on Twitter with the #DMAI12 hashtag.
Here's a full rundown of the session:

  • Trends marketer Daniel Levine leads an international team of "cool hunters" -- over 9,000 spotters -- who endlessly search the globe for the latest products, ideas and experiences. As the Executive Director of The Avant-Guide Institute, Daniel is a well-known trends consultant who helps companies, destinations and travel-related brands understand how to embrace trends to attract visitors and boost revenue. We've posted a two part preview video: Watch Part OneWatch Part Two
  •  Our featured speakers on the Insights research panel include Richard Santiago, Director, Global Insights & Innovation at Brand USA and Dave Bratton, Managing Partner of Destination Analysts. The session will include the release of a new study that probes the online information needs and behavior of international travelers when planning a trip to the United States. The study combines both research and analytics from a sampling of CVB and state tourism websites across the U.S. By combining these two elements, the study is able to complement the “what they say they do” with the “what they actually do” when planning a trip.
  • Finally, our panel of destination marketers features speakers from Tourism Ireland, Tourism Australia, and Visit Orlando. Tourism Australia's Lisa Wooldridge will share insight into their successful social media marketing efforts, which includes building a Facebook fan base of more than 3 million, more than 25,000 user submitted photos, and one of the most repined Pinterest boards on the site. Tourism Ireland's Alison Metcalfe will discuss the “Jump into Ireland” campaign and its intent to convert “bucket list” interest of Ireland into compelling intent. Visit Orlando's Danielle Courtenay will discuss the new marketing strategies they are taking with tour operators to gain a better ROI.

If you've already signed up for the Global All-Stars, we look forward to seeing you there. If you'd like more information you can click here. The session is free to conference attendees but space is limited.
