The application period for Miles’ annual scholarship program for the Southeast Tourism Society (STS) Marketing College is now open. Miles will award 14 scholarships for the 2025 session, selecting one tourism industry professional in each of the 14 STS member regions: Alabama, Arkansas, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
The 2025 application period for the Miles Scholarship Program for STS Marketing College will be open through Friday, March 21, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET.
Marketing College is a premier one-week intensive education program designed for both new and established tourism professionals. Throughout the week, students will attend lectures, participate in discussion groups and engage in unique networking opportunities. Courses focus on industry-specific topics such as market research, product development, economic impact, advocacy and branding. Marketing College professors are seasoned industry leaders from across the U.S., bringing both expertise and real-world knowledge to the classroom. Courses will be held at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, from June 1-6, 2025.
Students who complete all three years of Marketing College (not necessarily in consecutive years, though STS recommends it) will earn their Travel Marketing Professional (TMP) certification, which will be awarded during a special graduation ceremony at the STS annual meeting, STS Connections.

Scholarships cover tuition for the 2025 session, dorm room accommodations and most meals. Scholarship recipients will be selected by a committee of industry professionals to ensure scholarships are awarded in an equitable manner. Recipients are eligible to reapply for the scholarship in subsequent years to support the completion of their TMP certification.
Applications are due by Friday, March 21, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET, and recipients will be announced by Friday, April 4, 2025.
