A recent study took a look at how marketers are using Twitter and if they are successful. The verdict … not so much.
A lot of it has to do with timing. According to the study from Buddy Media tweets over the weekend get 17% more engagement than those during the week. Unfortunately, most brands are only tweeting Monday through Friday.
Meanwhile, less is more when it comes to tweets. According to the numbers, tweets less than 100 characters had more engagement and anything more than four tweets in a day is too much.
