First trip to Key West, Florida.

Samantha brings 9 years of experience in destination marketing to Miles. When she isn’t busy supporting the Alaska and Madrid accounts, you'll find her on hiking adventures with her two dogs, Parmesan and Nelly, tending to dozens of houseplants, or paddleboarding on one of the 10,000-plus lakes in her home state of Minnesota.

Favorite Travel Memory

My favorite travel memory is learning how to whitewater kayak on the Yellowstone River in Gardiner, Montana. The power of the water is exhilarating — there is nothing quite like being at the mercy of the river, staying focused and using your own strength to float down nature’s roller coaster.

With 25-plus years of experience, Carrieann oversees design execution and process and ensures adherence to client brands. From concepting and designing digital and print implementations, she's adept at identifying the perfect font treatment to tell an article’s story, searches out unexpected angles in photography and keeps us on track with publication schedules.

Waking up in the Battlefield Bed & Breakfast in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and realizing how much American History was around me.

I've been on the Miles/Brand USA team since day one, working with partners in a territory that stretches from Washington, D.C. to the Northern Mariana Islands. I dive deep into every destination I represent because I love to learn about food, drinks, and activities wherever I go. My wife and I recently opened a restaurant and cottages in the lovely hamlet of Union, Washington, in 2023.

Favorite Travel Memory

In South America, 1995 (pre-cellphone era), we took a flight to La Paz, Bolivia, with $10K and no plans. We knew Machu Picchu and Patagonia were musts but had no fixed schedule. Since there was no work, our only obligations were occasional calls and postcards to friends and family. It was total freedom; we explored off-the-beaten paths and lived spontaneously.

Mel creates high-performing web-content strategies and award-winning, brand-building creative work for interactive campaigns. She has a passion for inclusive content and sustainability. When she’s not crafting or optimizing content, she’s taking care of rescue rabbits, enjoying nature or exploring new places.

Jennie is a part of the new business team. Born and raised in Illinois, she now resides in Sarasota, FL, and spends her free time getting lost in the kitchen, dancing, hanging by the beach and tending to her many ferns.

Visiting China with my father, we spent three weeks traveling around Shanghai. 

Juan serves as an account director on our DEI team, supporting clients to ensure their marketing strategies resonate with diverse communities. Personally, he thrives on learning about different cultures, meeting new people and exploring the world. An avid traveler, foodie, and dog lover, in his free time he's likely exploring parks, hiking or embarking on a new adventure.

One of my favorite travel memories is the time I spent two weeks in Barcelona, Spain, with my best friend. We stayed in the Catalan region, where they speak a different dialect of Spanish. Our local host showed us around the city, and we also met some other Americans who were visiting. They ended up joining us throughout the entire trip, and we made some amazing memories together.

Fabio takes pride in creating functional and efficient designs that make a statement. Beyond work, he's an avid adventurer, embracing the great outdoors and seeking new horizons, where creativity knows no bounds.

Having grown up all over the world as the child of a resort general manager, Ursula has been in hospitality her entire life, including 30 years in resort marketing before starting the hospitality division at Miles. She was recently named to the HSMAI Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing.

Seeing the world by living in and traveling to more than 60 countries while learning and experiencing a variety of cultures through the people I met and lived near.

As a content manager for print and digital initiatives, Christi plans, writes and edits pieces to inspire people to visit the U.S., piquing the former journalist’s interest in exploring new places. Away from work, the Rotary Club member enthusiastically supports the South Florida Bulls.

As an Account Director at Miles, Kelli oversees and executes innovative, results-driven marketing programs for destination clients. When not collaborating on client projects, she can be found planning her next adventure, cheering on her home-state Hawkeyes, and forever searching for the perfect taco.

Being the only people on the plane in Belize and the pilot inviting me to sit up front with him. Wild!

J.T. is a content manager, writing and editing out of our Memphis office. When he's not writing about various destinations, the die-hard Memphis Tigers fan, Stephen King buff and "Star Wars" expert can likely be found at the movies or a Tigers game with his wife Christine.

My wife and I went to Europe for the first time — was the trip of a lifetime! We took a cruise around the Mediterranean to Spain, France and Italy. The food was phenomenal. We even got to explore my great-grandparents' hometown, Lucca, Italy. I cannot wait to go back.

Jackie is an account director with 15-plus years of ad-agency and client-side experience who is passionate about serving Miles' hospitality clients. Off the clock, she’s busy collecting passport stamps (20 countries and counting!), nose deep in a book, hiking peaks, setting up camp or on a relentless quest for the best ramen.

Hiking to an active Icelandic volcano stands out as a top travel memory. Being there with about 100 or so people and sharing the collective experience during every eruption was something I'll never forget.

Julie is part of the Brand USA team and helps partners from Kentucky to Maine strategize and market themselves internationally. Outside of work, she loves to be on, near or in the water with her husband, whether it’s at the beach, lake, or river and of course, she’s always planning another trip.

We recently went to South Africa, and one perfect evening, while on a safari game drive, we followed brother and sister lion cubs playing “hide and stalk” as they trotted along after mom for about 30 minutes. It was a magical moment.

As director of content strategy at Odyssey Studios, Tim creates compelling content packages and products to promote original, consumer-facing film and video series across digital and social channels. A former New Yorker and full-on movie buff, Tim has degrees in art history and enjoys attending film festivals, hitting the beach and looking for the perfect cheeseburger.

Visiting Devils Tower National Monument in Wyoming days after seeing the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."

David is responsible for the systems and process used to create and host our digital products. When not deep in the digital realm, he spends time with his wife and two kids (whenever they are home from college!). He combines baseball and travel as much as possible — if he's in your city and there is baseball game happening, you'll definitely find him at the park!

Walking through EPCOT at closing time — an almost empty park with just our family but still all lit up for Christmas. Magical!

As a media supervisor, tourism has been a mainstay in Ivy’s career since day one. With her extensive knowledge across offline and digital media, she puts together cohesive and effective media plans for her clients. When she's not doing media math, she can be found spending time with her family, reading a good book (fiction only please) or watching Formula 1.

Favorite Travel Memory

Our family's annual fall trip has quickly become one of my favorite of the year — getting to experience destinations with our daughter for the first time has been very special.

Janet is a content strategist whose focus is on concepting and creating content for clients such as St. Pete/Clearwater, Virginia Beach, Fort Myers and Miami. Her favorite vacations are in wild places where you can hear the wind and the birds, and her hobbies in St. Pete include gardening (yardening?), singing in a community chorus and obsessing about paint colors.

One of my favorite travel memories is hiking in the El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico with my husband Tim and our intrepid guide, Juan. At points, we were ankle-deep in red mud. But we also had a refreshing swim in a beautiful natural pool underneath a waterfall and ate fresh mangos off a banana leaf while perched on a rock.

Toni is a project manager who works remotely from Venice, Florida. She enjoys boating and fishing with her husband and three kids. Originally from Ohio, Toni is a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

I enjoy exploring all of the Caribbean islands, but Aruba has been my favorite — seeing flamingos in the wild was the best!

Paul is a driving force at Miles in successful product launches, advertising revenue-generation programs and creative solutions for DMOs. He is currently developing integrated travel industry co-op programs for Brand USA, and when he is not luring international visitors to the U.S., he is spending time in the great outdoors.

I have so many fantastic travel memories, but one of my favorites was a family vacation in Croatia bareboat sailing throughout the Dalmatian Islands. Sailing is nirvana for me and when you add in my favorite people, perfect sailing conditions, incredible scenery, great food and wine, it doesn't get any better. 

Hanna is an account coordinator who uses her skills to keep projects and client requests running smoothly. After graduating from Ole Miss, she moved out West and found a new passion for working in the travel and tourism industry. In her free time, you can catch her reading a good book, painting or exploring the outdoors of Colorado.

Mattie is an account director who uses her organizational skills to ensure deadlines are met and clients are happy. When she's not slinging ads, she can usually be found exploring everything Colorado has to offer. She loves all things outdoors, including fly fishing, skiing and hiking with her dog.

Exploring Belize with my husband! We journeyed around multiple islands via golf cart, caught bonefish, swam with sharks and ventured deep into ancient caves to explore Mayan ritual sites.

Sarah, a member of the Business Analyst team, resides and works amidst the Colorado mountains with her husband. An adoring mother to her two adult children in Denver, she finds joy in river rafting, skiing and exploring international destinations.

This past fall, my husband and I traveled to Munich, Germany for Oktoberfest. We dressed the part in lederhosen and dirndl and had the time of our lives!

David creates and automates reporting, troubleshoots data problems and maintains our internal budget/forecast planning tools. He has a degree in Physics from University of Colorado but never worked in that field—unless you count his home brewing of craft beers—and is equally at home on the beach or the ski slopes.

Emily provides creative and strategic solutions to achieve stakeholders' objectives for accounts such as Travel South USA, Visit Lake Charles, Visit North Carolina and Southern Delaware. When she is not watching her son play travel baseball, you can find her traveling, hiking, dining at new restaurants, painting and relaxing at home with her many pets — including five goats.

Favorite Travel Memory

My family and I used to rent an RV every summer and camp for a month in Montana, Wyoming, Oregon and Idaho. For me, nothing beats the scent of fresh mountain air and wildflowers mixed with unspoiled vistas of places like these.

Julia supports the engagement and partner-services teams for the Brand USA account. In Satellite Beach, Florida, her home office is a 1/4 mile from the Atlantic Ocean, which is where you'll find her when she's not at her desk. Julia, her boyfriend and their puppy Elvis love surfing, hosting Eagles games, snowboarding and, of course, traveling!

Snowboarding at Jackson Hole so much that I couldn't move for two weeks post-vacay!

Yasaman works with stakeholders to blend design and technology sensibilities with strategic insights, an ability that has been honed over her previous career as an architect, where human-centric design principles were second nature. Having already explored 32 states, she's on a mission to explore more of the country's natural and cultural wonders.

I work as an ADM in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Kentucky markets. I help advertisers promote their destinations via digital and print advertising options. I enjoy learning about new destinations and the ADM role has opened my eyes to new places. Besides traveling, I enjoy watching sports and drinking coffee.

My wife and I went to San Diego recently and were able to enjoy the beach and visit all of the historical places.
