We went to the rainforest for a small hike in Puerto Rico. When we got to the stream at the bottom of the hike, it started raining. It rained and rained, but that didn't stop my 3-year-old. We went swimming in the stream while it was raining. A new experience for him and so much fun!

Meet Felipe, a dynamic art director whose passions span horizons (literally). He crafts visual stories both professionally as a digital artist and through his photography side hustle. An explorer by nature, find him hiking Red Rocks and paddleboarding Bear Creek Lake on the weekends. Evenings? They're for unwinding with videogames, homemade food and a Gatorade.

My favorite travel memory has to be backpacking through Europe for a couple of months. This was my biggest solo trip, where I got to go through Spain, Germany, Italy, Austria and Italy. I met so many people and ate so much good food, but most importantly learned how big the world can be outside of the U.S.

Craig leads the web developers on the client web support team. With 15-plus years of experience in web development and 9-plus years at Miles, he takes coding challenges head on. You'll always find him traveling with his family, whether it's a staycation in Colorado or visiting extended family.

Toni is a project manager who works remotely from Venice, Florida. She enjoys boating and fishing with her husband and three kids. Originally from Ohio, Toni is a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

I enjoy exploring all of the Caribbean islands, but Aruba has been my favorite — seeing flamingos in the wild was the best!

Carson is a part of our SEM/social team where she works across many clients. A native Floridian, she loves spending time on the water and exploring the state's hidden gems. She is also an avid yogi and likes to bring her adorable miniature Bernedoodle named Winston around town.

Favorite Travel Memory

When I was 16, my dad and I went to Peru and hiked the Inca Trail. We spent three nights camping on the trail and ended our four4-day hike at the Sun Gate at Machu Picchu. It was the trip of a lifetime, not only to spend it with my dad, but to see such ancient ruins and history up close and personal.

Alex is Odyssey Studios’ platform manager, handling linear channel scheduling and maintenance for Brand USA’s GoUSATV — file transfers, app updates and other technical sorcery. When not chained to his desk, you can usually find in him roaming the various Disney theme parks, traveling the world and taking pictures, or chained to his other desk making illustrations.

Favorite Travel Memory

In Hawaiʻi, while trying to navigate rocks at a lagoon entrance so I could swim in the Pacific for the first time, a sea turtle appeared, swam over near me and vanished underwater. His wake showed a path through the rocks to a safe, secluded place to swim as if the entire island was mine.

Scott is a web developer who brings the web to life through a wide range of front-end technologies and accessibility in mind. When he is not at the computer, he is out hiking and exploring. He lives in Southern California with his wife and two kids.

Yasaman works with stakeholders to blend design and technology sensibilities with strategic insights, an ability that has been honed over her previous career as an architect, where human-centric design principles were second nature. Having already explored 32 states, she's on a mission to explore more of the country's natural and cultural wonders.

Nadja is part of our Operations team, where she serves as an internal strategist, consultant and implementer on a variety of initiatives. She lives in Miami and loves to spend her free time trying new restaurants, exploring the local arts scene and taking her rescue pup Ziba on adventures. When she's not doing that, she's eagerly planning new trips here and abroad for her and her boyfriend.

Samantha brings 9 years of experience in destination marketing to Miles. When she isn’t busy supporting the Alaska and Madrid accounts, you'll find her on hiking adventures with her two dogs, Parmesan and Nelly, tending to dozens of houseplants, or paddleboarding on one of the 10,000-plus lakes in her home state of Minnesota.

My favorite travel memory is learning how to whitewater kayak on the Yellowstone River in Gardiner, Montana. The power of the water is exhilarating — there is nothing quite like being at the mercy of the river, staying focused and using your own strength to float down nature’s roller coaster.

Emilie is a Project Manager for Brand USA based out of Gulf Shores, Alabama. She has a list for nearly everything and stays very organized, despite her busy schedule. A music enthusiast, craft beer connoisseur and dog lover, you can often find Emilie spending time on the beach, catching live local music, hanging with her friends (and pup!) at a local brewery or cheering on the New Orleans Saints!

Working directly for both president and CEO David Burgess and chairman Roger Miles, we all know it’s Lisa Hill who really runs things around here. When she's not keeping upper management in line, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, shopping and, now that she (finally!) has her passport, traveling the world.

It's hard to pick favorites, but I'll never forget visiting Chicago for the first time. I'd been in big cities, but Chicago just hit different. We were visiting over the New Year and it was snowing as the clock struck midnight, which made for a very magical trip.

Mina brings more than 23 years of experience to account management, focused on building collaborative relationships with her clients. She is a self-proclaimed industry lifer. When not at work, she resets by going on road trips, singing karaoke or doing Zumba.

My favorite travel memories are all car road trips as a kid and swimming with my sister and parents in the hotel pool. The best vacations always feature swimming at some point for me.

After spending years in the CVB and DMO world, Courtney now uses her tourism-marketing experience to create content for a variety of Miles' clients. Based in Atlanta, she spends her free time exploring the Southeast either hiking mountains or visiting beaches with her golden retriever Boone.

Oh so many! Sea-kayaking the Kenai Fjords of Alaska, hiking the Atlas Mountains in Morocco or Mount Assiniboine in British Columbia. But hands down: traveling to Kazakhstan and Guatemala to adopt our sons.

Exploring new sights, sounds and tastes in different places are my favorite traveling memories: Six days between Japan and Bali back to back with my siblings, three months in Bermuda with my best friend and two weeks road tripping across the country with my husband and kids.

Randa is an account supervisor with more than 8 years of destination marketing experience, working with clients from east to west. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling the world with her husband, Willie. She is the best person to ask where to travel for the best dessert and how to recreate it at home!

I typically don't have favorites, but a top travel moment would be cenote diving in Mexico with my husband. We ended our dive with a clay-spa experience. The water was beautiful, cool and clear. Such a fun adventure!

Sebrina specializes in creating customized packages and sharing the many benefits of advertising with the DMO of the Windy City, Choose Chicago. You can usually find her enjoying time with her husband, daughter, son and two Icelandic sheepdogs, or exploring new restaurants and traveling to any place with warmer winters than Chicago.

Jennie is a part of the new business team. Born and raised in Illinois, she now resides in Sarasota, FL, and spends her free time getting lost in the kitchen, dancing, hanging by the beach and tending to her many ferns.

Visiting China with my father, we spent three weeks traveling around Shanghai. 

Susie joined Miles as a project manager primarily on digital media. As avid marketer, she loves to pore over digital performance and analytics to find solution for problems. She is a native Arkansan, proud Razorback and dog lover who lives in Little Rock with her husband Christian and their adorable pup Fitz.

Isa is part of our Louisiana team and handles all things social media. As a content manager, she travels all over the Bayou State in search of the best things for visitors to experience. During her off time, you can find Isa at a coffee shop planning her next trip or learning a new cocktail recipe.

Favorite Travel Memory

One of my recent favorite travel memories was during a work trip! The Louisiana team went to California for the 2023 Rose Parade, and on one of our off days, a few of us drove to Malibu and sat on the rocky shore as the sun reflected off of the waves of El Matador Beach. In fact, it was the very first sunset of the year and is one of my all-time favorite views thus far.

Leading all things content for Brand USA programs, Liz loves to explore too. You might find her in the Willamette Valley, Brooklyn or Puerto Rico. The Florida State grad’s passions include reading novels and poetry, listening to music, cooking, sipping craft beer and spending time with her partner, baby daughter and French bulldog.

Ziplining in the rain in a rainforest in Costa Rica, then stopping afterward at the local watering hole for extra-refreshing beers.

As an account director, Sam connects the dots between content, creative and paid-media strategy. Originally hired as an editor at Miles in 2005, she is a crack proofer and published author who manages a content team and still volunteers to write copy from time to time. Outside of work, you'll find her running or mountain biking the trails surrounding her home in San Diego.

Finding the elusive "poet's table" after a rock-scrambling, meandering hike through Custer State Park during a FAM tour with our South Dakota client!

A native Kentuckian serving as the media planner for our Kentucky client, Melissa uses research, promotional skills, strong negotiation tactics and industry connections to deliver successful media campaigns. When looking to travel, you will likely find Melissa putting her planning skills to work creating itineraries for her husband, daughter and French bulldog, Bea.

I could pick a favorite memory from every single trip I have ever taken. To me, travel fills my soul with memories and personal connections created from new surroundings, unique adventures and incredible experiences.

Karen's expertise lies in strategic account planning and management, including comprehensive campaign development, media planning and analysis. When not working with Golden Isles and Sweetwater County, she enjoys traveling with her husband and twin boys, as well as taking her collegiate sport of diving into coaching four Colorado high schools.

Chris is a designer whose work spans multiple clients and teams. He creates for print, web, html5 and logos, among many other things. When he's not head-down focused on design, you'll find him with his pug Mabel, in the kitchen, playing his bass or out frolicking in nature.

I was in Norway for a celebration of my grandfather — his sculpture of Lincoln in Oslo stands as the only one by an artist other than Gustav Vigeland in Frogner Park. My best memory was a midnight row across one of the widest points of the widest fjord in Norway, the Geirangerfjord. Sunlight bathed the mountain peaks as we tried to outrace a gigantic oil tanker. We lived.
