Favorite Travel Memory

Last fall, I visited Halifax, Nova Scotia for the first time. My husband and I took a food tour, sampling everything the city had to offer while the leaves fell around us. It was an absolutely perfect day.

A spontaneous weekend getaway to Anchorage turned into the Alaskan adventure of a lifetime, complete with reindeer sausage, bear spotting and an intense uphill drive in a Chevy Malibu through the tiniest mountain towns!

At 14, I visited the small remote island of Nosy Komba, Madagascar, seeing lemurs up close, wandering its beaches and meeting the welcoming locals. That adventure sparked my love for travel and passion for ecotourism, showing me the magic of exploring new places while honoring nature and culture.

Janet is a content strategist whose focus is on concepting and creating content for clients such as St. Pete/Clearwater, Virginia Beach, Fort Myers and Miami. Her favorite vacations are in wild places where you can hear the wind and the birds, and her hobbies in St. Pete include gardening (yardening?), singing in a community chorus and obsessing about paint colors.

Favorite Travel Memory

One of my favorite travel memories is hiking in the El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico with my husband Tim and our intrepid guide, Juan. At points, we were ankle-deep in red mud. But we also had a refreshing swim in a beautiful natural pool underneath a waterfall and ate fresh mangos off a banana leaf while perched on a rock.

Meet Felipe, a dynamic art director whose passions span horizons (literally). He crafts visual stories both professionally as a digital artist and through his photography side hustle. An explorer by nature, find him hiking Red Rocks and paddleboarding Bear Creek Lake on the weekends. Evenings? They're for unwinding with videogames, homemade food and a Gatorade.

My favorite travel memory has to be backpacking through Europe for a couple of months. This was my biggest solo trip, where I got to go through Spain, Germany, Italy, Austria and Italy. I met so many people and ate so much good food, but most importantly learned how big the world can be outside of the U.S.

Henry is part of the destination optimization team and helps organize and implement the education side of the programs, including leading seminars and hosting office hours. In Henry's spare time, you can find him exploring new places by land or by sea with wife and two pups.

Easily the opportunity to drive up and down and across the state of Wyoming to host seminars and help promote those destinations with organic digital marketing.

My favorite travel memory is having the chance to raft the Grand Canyon for 21 days. We slept under the stars, had a couple of flipped boats and got to experience one of the world's wonders up close.

Favorite Travel Memory

I got the opportunity to study abroad in London, Paris, and Barcelona. One of the coolest things we got to do was have dinner in the Eiffel Tower and then go all the way to the top - it is something I will never forget, mostly because I'm terrified of heights.

A journalist by trade, Steven traded the newsroom for a much more enjoyable assignment as a food writer and travel editor. (Yeah, he gets paid to eat.) As a senior content director, Steven now cooks up effective, innovative and integrated content strategies for a host of destination clients, including Puerto Rico, Louisiana, New Orleans and Fairfax County, Virginia.

There are so many! But gathering for a multi-country family reunion at a five-star farm-restaurant high atop the mountains in Slovenia is way up there. The food. The views. The connections. The memories. Priceless!

A favorite travel memory is getting to travel to Germany with my dad in 2014. We were able to travel by train and visit Munich, Stuttgart, Berlin, Frankfurt and many other small towns. The highlight of the trip was getting to go to a football (soccer) match and experience the amazing atmosphere.

Bali's vivid hues and beaming faces welcomed us, emanating happiness and forging instant connections. My children, away from electronics, reveled in local culture, embracing community and togetherness. Beneath banana trees, our guide plucked some for us. This spontaneous act epitomized the trip — authentic, unscripted and full of simple joys.

Favorite Travel Memory

During a trip with my boyfriend to Laguna Beach, we went on a whale-watching tour. While we didn't come across any whales, we did find ourselves amid a mega-pod of dolphins. We were literally surrounded by thousands of dolphins for over an hour. Something I'll never forget!
